After portraying the Ice Cube character Kimberly Woodruff she starred in Straight Outta Compton a biographical-drama film about the career of N.W.A. In 2016, she co-starred with Ororo, Munroe/Storm in Bryan Singer's superhero movie X-Men: Apocalypse. Halle Berry had previously played the mutant who controls weather.
